The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano North Senatorial District has reaffirmed its total commitment to the party, declaring that its position remains “APC from top to bottom, and APC from bottom to top, warning against anti-party activities in all forms.
The Zonal APC Chairman of Kano North Senatorial District, Abdullahi Magaji Lamba Bichi, while meeting with stakeholders in Kano, urged Local party leaders, stakeholders and members across the district to remain united and committed to the APC.
This follows on the back of threats against the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin who some Party Leaders are trying to stop from contesting his fourth term for the Senate.
He urged party members to come out en masse and vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, for Kano North Senatorial District, as well as all APC candidates contesting for the House of Representatives and State House of Assembly.
According to him, party members must uphold the principles of discipline, unity, loyalty and respect for constituted authority to strengthen the party ahead of the elections.
Lamba Bichi warned that anyone found engaging in anti-party activities, factionalism or actions capable of undermining the APC and its candidates would face appropriate disciplinary measures in accordance with the provisions of the party’s constitution.
He said such disciplinary measures could include suspension or expulsion, where warranted.
The APC chairman maintained that the position represents the collective stance of the Kano North APC leadership under the leadership of Senator Barau I. Jibrin, CFR, Deputy President of the Senate and leader of the APC in Kano North Senatorial District.
He called for continued unity among party members, describing the APC as one family, “APC One Family,” he declared.
